Purchase with FSA or HSA Funds

1. What are FSA and HSA accounts?

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are employer-sponsored savings accounts that allow employees to set money aside each year to cover the cost of qualified medical expenses. Funds must typically be used within the plan year, though some employers offer a grace period or limited carryover.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are savings accounts available to people with a high-deductible health plan. You can use HSAs to pay for qualified medical expenses tax-free. Unlike FSAs, HSA funds roll over year after year and can be used for qualified medical expenses at any time.

Both accounts provide you with a tax-advantaged way to pay for eligible health care expenses to support your health.

2. What are FSA and HSA eligible on the Femometer website?

The majority of Femometer products and apps are FSA/HSA-eligible, as verified by the SIGIS Eligible Product List. 3. Is Femometer Smart Ring FSA/HSA eligible?

Yes, Femometer Cyra Ring and Femometer Aegis Ring are FSA and HSA eligible in accordance with the SIGIS Eligible Product List since March 12(th) 2025. This means, if you're enrolled in a health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA) through your insurance, you can use your FSA/HSA funds to buy Femometer Cyra Ring and Femometer Aegis Ring on — or after — March 12(th) 2025.

4. How do I use FSA/HSA on the Femometer website?

If you purchase eligible items on the Femometer website, you can use your FSA/HSA card directly by clicking "Pay with HSA/FSA" at checkout and you will be redirected to Flex to complete your purchase securely.

Do not select PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay if you would like to pay directly with your FSA/HSA card.

Like any credit or debit card, FSA/HSA transactions can be declined due to different reasons. In case your FSA/HSA card is declined or you don't have your FSA or HSA card handy, you can still complete your purchase with a regular credit card or debit card, and Flex will provide you with an itemized receipt to submit for reimbursement.

5. Can I make a non-Flex payment and still claim HSA/FSA benefits?

If you’ve already made a purchase via a payment method that is not “Flex” then you can still use your funds but you will need an itemized receipt for reimbursement. Please note that different FSA/HSA providers may have different reimbursement requirements and eligibility rules. In some cases, your FSA/HSA provider requires additional documentation for reimbursement. We suggest that you check with your plan providers to ensure your purchase meets their requirements and get reimbursement successfully.

6. What is Flex and what is the association with Femometer?

Flex has partnered with Femometer as an alternative payment method for FSA/HSA card purchases.

7. Where can I find the receipt(s) for my purchases?

After making purchases, you should receive the receipt via email. If you can’t find the receipt:

  • email our support team at support@femometer.com if you bought your product(s) on the Femometer website
  • reach out to App Store support if you bought your subscription(s) on the App Store
  • get in touch with Google Play support if you bought your subscription(s) on Google Play

8. Can I get reimbursed under FSA/HSA a product or a subscription that I bought for someone else?

It depends on your FSA/HSA plan. Please check with your plan providers before you purchase a subscription or a product for someone else.
